We’ve known Thy for quite some time now and it’s always exciting to collaborate with her. For her family shoot, she wanted to do something a little bit different. We turned to Desi Perkins “Festival Inspired Fashion Look Book” for inspiration and went from there!
Finding the perfect location is really important when making a vision come true so, being the avid adventure photographers that we are, we did some scouting around downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You just never know what you will find. The shiny RV set up just happened to say “Refreshments” on it, as they enjoyed their drinks. It’s really in the details, people.
Outfits were on point as well. Kingston was just the cutest with his gold chain and drop pants. Thy’s ensemble slayed, down to the LB’s. And Thien kept it simple, with the Yeezy’s and shades. #familyfashiongoals anyone?
The smoke bombs at the end turned out just A W E S O M E. We’ve never shot with them before, so it was a neat experience, to say the least. They weren’t hard to use at all and the smoke provided incredibly vibrant colors. Love, love, love. Definitely a photo shoot for the books. Enjoy!

The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is one of our favorite places to visit in Oklahoma. So when our dear friends, Anna and Jesse, asked us to photograph them out in the wilderness (because, hey, they are THE Wilders), we were beyond thrilled.
Even though the weather didn’t look too great as the hills loomed near, we were determined to make things happen. We started off at Mt Scott. There were huge rocks, tourists and plenty of bees but the view was incredible. Soon after, everyone was asked to leave, as the lightning was getting a little too close for comfort.
The rest was a mini picnic that involved cake, in between bouts of rainfall. We should probably mention that this shoot was for their one year anniversary. One year down, many more to go!
With the Oklahoma weather, you just never know what is going to happen. We weren’t ready to quit shooting just yet, so we asked if Anna and Jesse would be up for some rain shots. They happily obliged. And what troopers they were! The rain was cold but the photos were well worth it. Their love is captivating, and we’re glad to have gotten a chance to witness these perfectly imperfect moments (rain or shine) with them.
P.S. This whole set was envisioned by Rebecca Glass (The beautiful and better half) and assisted by Lenin (The O.K. Husband)
Simple. Charming. Yet, Oh So Elegant.
Surrounded by their loved ones, Sarah and Nigel’s elopement was beyond perfect.
They are awesome friends of ours and it was an honor to bear witness to the day they said “I Do”.
